FAQs

How safe is my data in Amicus Cloud?

Data in Amicus Cloud is more secure than data on the computers and networks of almost any law firm. Amicus Cloud uses data centers built and managed by Microsoft. The security – both physical and cyber – is tremendous, and has been certified by many international standards organizations. Which is why some of the most security-conscious companies in the world (e.g. NASA) use the same platform. Every piece of data is instantly backed up onto redundant servers. All transmissions of your data are done with 256-bit encryption – which is what banks use for your most sensitive financial data. Click here for more details about security.

What uptime does Amicus Cloud guarantee?

99.9% uptime every month. Please see the Terms of Service for more details.

Several of us in our firm want to try Amicus Cloud. Should we sign up separately or together?

Only one member of your firm should click the “Get Started” button here on the web site. They will receive an email with a login setting up your firm. Then they can add any other people in your firm they want (see how below).

How do I add more users to my firm?

Click on the word Options in the upper right corner of the Amicus Cloud screen. In the dialog that comes up, select User Management. A list of all your firm’s users appears. Click the Add User button to add more. When you have added everyone you want, click the Send Login button to send them an email that invites them to login.

Can I use Amicus Cloud on my iPad?

Does Amicus Cloud have an Outlook link?

Yes – and so much more! Everything you do and see in Outlook is instantly in Amicus Cloud, and vice versa. They both work from the same database, so there’s no issue with synchronizing two systems. It’s not a link – it’s live!

What is Microsoft Exchange, and why is it needed?

Microsoft Exchange is the world’s leading email server. It is used by Amicus Cloud to provide total email integration, dynamic integration with smartphones and more. Many firms already have Exchange. If you do, Amicus will connect to it. If you don’t, it’s easy to get, or Amicus can provide it for you (really easily – just a couple of clicks!). Click here for more details.
